12 SAF Servicemen Injured in Australia After Accident During Exercise Wallaby
Twelve Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) servicemen were injured and taken to a hospital in Australia on September 24 following an accident during the ongoing Exercise Wallaby. Singapore’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that a Hunter armoured fighting vehicle rear-ended another while returning to base at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland.
Non-Serious Injuries Sustained in Armoured Vehicle Collision
The accident occurred while the vehicles were en route to the base after completing training exercises. The servicemen sustained non-serious injuries and were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to the Defence Ministry, the servicemen are currently recovering or receiving medical attention and are in stable condition.
