Nets Terminals Down, Customers Encouraged to Use Cash or SGQR
On September 23, Nets customers faced disruptions in services as some debit and credit card transactions via Nets terminals became temporarily unavailable. The affected terminals were unable to process QR, contactless, and PIN-based transactions, prompting Nets to advise customers to use alternative payment methods, such as SGQR or cash, when making purchases.
Customers Advised to Use SGQR or Cash
With Nets terminals experiencing outages, customers were encouraged to opt for SGQR (Singapore Quick Response Code) or cash payments for transactions. Merchants using Nets terminals were also impacted by the disruption, which affected their ability to process digital payments.
Nets Working to Restore Services
Nets issued a statement acknowledging the disruption and assured users that they were working to restore services as quickly as possible. “We are working to restore the service as soon as possible and apologise for the inconvenience caused,” the company said.
Efforts to Resolve the Disruption Ongoing
As efforts to resolve the issue continue, both merchants and customers are urged to be patient and utilize available alternative payment options until the Nets services are fully restored.
