Singapore’s Paralympic Medal Success in Paris
Team Singapore wrapped up the Paris Paralympics with a total of three medals. Swimmer Yip Pin Xiu continued her dominance by clinching gold medals in both the 100m backstroke S2 and 50m backstroke S2 events, marking her third consecutive Paralympics winning these titles.
Additionally, Jeralyn Tan made history by winning a silver medal in boccia, Singapore’s first-ever Paralympic medal in the sport. Tan’s achievement in the women’s individual BC1 event is a significant milestone for the country’s Paralympic program.
Celebrating Athletic Excellence
The parade is an opportunity for Singaporeans to recognize the dedication and hard work of the Paralympians, who have inspired the nation with their performances. The open-top bus parade will allow the public to come together and show their appreciation for the athletes who have brought pride to Singapore on the global stage.
