Starting September 18, Singapore motorists will have a new option for collecting their Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) tag, which is required for all foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia from October.
New Collection Option in Woodlands
Previously, drivers could only collect their VEP tags in Johor Bahru or opt to have them delivered by post. Now, a third option is available: Singapore drivers can pick up their VEP tags from the VEP information counter in Woodlands, making the process more convenient for those who prefer not to cross the border just to collect their tags.
Essential Requirement for Foreign-Registered Vehicles
The VEP tag is mandatory for all foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia from Singapore starting in October. This new collection point in Woodlands is expected to streamline the process for Singaporean motorists, offering an additional, more accessible location for obtaining the required tag.
