Yip Pin Xiu has claimed her second gold medal at the Paris Paralympics, triumphing in the women’s 50m backstroke S2 event.

Just days after securing a historic three-peat, Yip Pin Xiu added another gold to her collection on Sunday, September 1, at the La Defense Arena. Competing as the defending champion and the fastest qualifier from the heats, Yip clocked an impressive time of 1:05.99 to take the top spot on the podium.

In the final, Yip was joined on the podium by Mexico’s Haidee Aceves, who took the silver medal with a time of 1:08.96. Spain’s Teresa Perales claimed the bronze, finishing with a time of 1:10.95.
