A 33-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday, August 27, at Woodlands Checkpoint after attempting to grab the revolver of an Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officer.
Incident at Woodlands Checkpoint
The incident occurred when the woman, who had been denied entry into Malaysia, arrived at Woodlands Checkpoint. Following the refusal of entry, she was referred to the ICA duty office for secondary checks.
Attempt to Take Officer’s Weapon
During the interview process at the duty office, the woman allegedly attempted to reach for an ICA officer’s revolver. The officer acted swiftly, and the woman was immediately placed under arrest.
Police Response and Ongoing Investigation
The police received a call for assistance and quickly responded to the situation. The woman was arrested on the spot, and preliminary investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
