Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has announced a revision to the schedule of its highly anticipated dragon-themed drone show, initially set for February 17. In a move aimed at optimizing the viewing experience for attendees and ensuring smoother traffic management, the show will now take place on February 15, shifting from the weekend to a weekday.
The decision to reschedule, as detailed in MBS’s statement on February 13, was made without further elaboration on the reasons behind avoiding the Saturday slot. However, MBS emphasized the goal of enhancing the overall experience for the audience and managing the expected crowd more efficiently.
The updated lineup for the drone show now includes performances on February 15, 16, and 18, all commencing at 9pm, an hour later than the original timing. MBS also noted that the start time might be pushed to 10pm if weather conditions warrant such a change, highlighting the impact of unpredictable weather on the drones’ flight paths.
This adjustment follows the inaugural show on February 10, which attracted thousands of spectators, leading to concerns over safety due to the large crowds. In response, MBS has put in place additional measures to control the influx of viewers and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
